On Monday the 11 th of August 2014 the white marble statue of Shirdi Sai Baba in the Sri Sai Mandiram in Onderdijk, the Netherland, was inaugurated by Swami Gopala Krishna with a lot of attention, love and care. This ceremony, called Pratisthapana, brings the statue to life, which from that moment on means Shirdi Sai Baba is actually present in the temple.
I felt enormously privileged that I was allowed to attend this. Swami Gopala Krishna himself is a great saint, directly from the line of Shirdi Sai Baba. That he personally initiates this statue will help the devotees in future centuries enormously in their devotion to Shirdi Sai Baba.
